Indications
GI disturbances, flatulence, diarrhoea, dysentery, food intoxication, inorganic poison, alcoholic excesses.
Dosage
Diarrhoea & flatulence 3 tab tid-qid. Poisoning adult 30-50 tab. Childn 20 tab.
Contraindications
Diarrhea accompanied by fever.
Precautions
Take 2 hr before or >1 hr after oral medication. Childn <6 yr. Not recommended for pesticides poisoning.
Adverse Reactions
GI upsets. Dark to black stool.
Interactions
Medicinal charcoal may interfere w/ drug absorption in the GIT when taken simultaneously.
